Still Life with Greek Vase and Horse Statue

This still life was inspired by the greek myth of Helena of Troy. The horse statue is my daughter's home decor item from Ikea. I have been interested in exploring greek statues and the stories behind them. This still life narrative comes to life in an ecletic way, as these flowers are very  Australian, native flowering trees of Proteas and a Bottle Brush. This piece is lightly textured for added interest, and if you get up close, you can see my signature style of pattern in the tablecloth.
