I love Jacaranda flowers. It is such a shame they are so fleeting in the season. I love how the flowers blanket the ground. This painting captures flowers on the ground with a strong shadow being cast from each of them giving a semi-unrealistic appearance. The flowers have been painted using an impasto technique.
